Fresh Ink, Fresh Blood
October brings out the worst in me in the best way. This week, I finished 3 short horror comic book stories that I plan on turning into a single issue horror anthology. These aren't commissioned stories, but rather a personal project I've been working on in my spare time. Once completed, I plan to make the anthology available at future comic conventions. It will be in the same vein as Creepshow or Tales From The Crypt comics.
This also gives me the opportunity to showcase not just my own writing, but the work of some talented artists and colorists. I don't have anyone locked down for art yet, but I have at least 2 artists in mind to ask. Are you an artist? Send me an email. Let me see your portfolio. Let's talk.
What exactly do I do?
I'm a freelance writer who specializes in comic books, graphic novels, and script writing. Whether you have a fully developed concept that needs a script or a rough idea that needs a little creative direction, I can help bring your story to life. You can hire me as a story developer, writer, co-writer, or a ghostwriter. My standard comic book scripting rate is $125 per page, with other writing services priced according to the project's scope. If you're looking for other types of writing, you can contact me and we can discuss it. For more information, visit the COMMISSION page, where you'll find my services, rates, commission process, and frequently asked questions.
If you are looking for a creative team, you're in luck! 🍀 I've had the pleasure of working with comic book artist, Chris Staggs, and we've developed a great working relationship. If you're looking for both a writer and an artist, he's certainly someone worth considering. I can't speak for his current availability, but you're welcome to reach out to him directly.
